Who we are

Named after Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills—the street where craftsman and owner Sam Goli opened the doors of his first shop in the mid 1980s—Bedford Shoe and Luggage Repair maintains its decades-long reputation of being Los Angeles’ go-to spot for fine repairs.

In the early days of Bedford Shoe & Luggage Repair, Sam’s work became synonymous with luxury. During these years he began to notice that high heeled shoes left the wearers walking unsteadily due to the curvatures of the sole bottoms and fatigued from their thinness. It was then that he developed a new type of sole that he added to flat and heeled dress shoes that he called Sam Soles. Their purpose was to add comfort and stability and since then ,Sam has added these soles to literally thousands of shoes—from your next door neighbor to your favorite celebrity.

Over the years Sam expanded his services as more people realized his talent and unique attention to detail. What began as a shoe repair has expanded into all types of leather repair—including wallets, belts, and jackets—as well as luggage and other sentimental object repair. No job is too big or small for Sam and this is why his clients new and old return year after year.
